What psychedelic Mentorship & Consultation is
Psychedelic Mentorship & Consultation is a one-hour online consultation for therapists and facilitators working with trauma, somatic process, expressive arts or psychedelic integration. It offers an embodied, ethically grounded space to think through cases, scope and your own responses. It is not a substitute for your own therapy.
Silver Owl is first a psychotherapy practice. Mentorship opens in limited windows for practitioners who want consultation that stays body-based and ethically grounded.
If you are seeking your own therapy, start with a free consultation instead, mentorship is not a substitute for personal treatment.
Holding others well asks that someone hold the practitioner too.
What makes me an expert?
I began apprenticing in Peruvian Vegetalismo in 2009 under Enrrique Santiago Paredes Melendez and Reyna Luz Edery, and the apprenticeship continues today. For nine of those years I lived full time in the Peruvian Amazon, learning the tradition directly from my teachers.
In 2012 I co-founded Canto Luz Centre for Research and Cultural Preservation, where an international team and I built a centre in the Amazon. There I designed the daily programme and led apprenticeships for people coming into the tradition. Over those years I also led hundreds of people through ceremony.
Mentorship draws on that experience, together with my clinical training, to help practitioners work with this material carefully and ethically.
How mentorship usually works
Start with a message
Mentorship opens in limited windows. A short message about your work and what you are looking for helps check fit first.
Bring what is live
Sessions follow what you bring: a case, an ethical question, a pattern in your own responses, or how to pace integration work.
Meet as needed
Some practitioners meet regularly for a season; others book occasionally when something needs a second set of eyes.
Who mentorship tends to fit
Mentorship is professional consulting. It is not psychotherapy and does not issue insurance receipts for clinical care.
This is likely a good fit if
- You work with trauma, somatic process, expressive arts or psychedelic integration
- You want consultation that stays embodied and ethically grounded
- You are navigating scope, boundaries or cultural questions in plant-medicine-adjacent work
- You value an integrative rather than protocol-driven lens
This is probably not the right fit if
- You are seeking your own therapy. Please start with a free consultation instead
- You want a fixed curriculum or certification program
- You are in crisis or need urgent care, which this practice is not set up to provide
If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 9-8-8 in Canada, or call 911 in an emergency. Those services are available 24 hours a day.
Practicalities
Fully virtual
Sessions are offered online across Ontario from this virtual practice, on a secure online telehealth platform with nothing to download.
What you need
A private spot where you can speak freely and notice yourself without performing for the screen. Headphones help; a polished setup does not matter.
Fees
Mentorship session
Per 60-minute session on a secure online telehealth platform. Payment is due on the day of the session.
Mentorship is professional consulting, not psychotherapy. Availability is limited and opens by season. Send a message before booking if you are unsure mentorship is the right frame. Cancellation terms are on the fees page and apply to every service.
Common questions
Who is mentorship for?
Therapists, counsellors, expressive arts practitioners and facilitators working with trauma, somatic process or psychedelic integration. If you are unsure whether your role fits, send a short message describing your work and you will get an honest answer.
Is this the same as clinical supervision?
Mentorship is consultation, not a formal supervision arrangement. If you need supervision that meets specific registration requirements, confirm those with your regulatory body first and mention them when you reach out.
Can mentorship include my own process?
Your responses to clients are part of the work, and noticing them is welcome. If personal material needs more space than consultation can hold, it is better served by your own therapy with someone else.
How often do people meet?
There is no set schedule. Some practitioners meet every few weeks for a season; others book when a case or question needs attention. Availability is limited, so it helps to message before assuming a time is open.
What does a mentorship session cost?
Mentorship sessions are $190 for 60 minutes on a secure online telehealth platform. Payment is due on the day of the session. Availability opens in limited windows rather than as open enrollment.
